i desolder components from them and test them with my multimeter. i learn to use my multimeter, find out what it can and cannot do, learn how to desolder, which is harder than soldering, also learn how to clean my iron, turns out that is incredibly important.

computer PCB's are an absolute bitch to desolder. save those for waaayyyy later. start out with VCR's and older, dumber, tech.
